The Rules of Prediction

A framework for fair and accurate bragging

The Golden Rule

You must have actually called it.This means documented evidence— a tweet, a Reddit comment, a Facebook post, a YouTube video, or any other form of public prediction with a verifiable timestamp. No claiming you “totally said that to your friends at the bar.” We need receipts.

The Do's

  • Provide evidence. Screenshots, direct links, or archived pages that prove you made the prediction.
  • Be specific.“Something bad will happen” is not a prediction. “Tesla stock will drop 20% after the earnings call” is.
  • Claim reasonable trophies. Only award yourself trophies that actually apply to your prediction timeframe and platform.
  • Be honest about dates.Don't backdate your predictions. The timestamp is what makes it valid.
  • Have fun. This is a place for celebration, not war. Be proud, not petty.

The Don'ts

  • No fake predictions.Creating a fake tweet screenshot is not only lame, it's ban-worthy. We have ways to verify.
  • No vague nonsense.Nostradamus-style quatrains that could mean anything don't count. Be clear.
  • No harmful content. Predictions about tragedies, deaths, or wishing harm on others are not welcome here.
  • No spam.Don't flood the wall. Quality over quantity.
  • No harassment.Don't use this platform to attack others who were wrong. Celebrate your rightness, don't weaponize it.

Content Moderation

All posts go through a moderation queue before appearing on the public wall. This helps us:

  • Verify that predictions have legitimate evidence
  • Filter out harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Prevent spam and fake submissions
  • Maintain the integrity of the platform

Moderation typically takes 24-48 hours. If your post is rejected, you'll receive a note explaining why. You can always edit and resubmit.

Appeals Process

Think your CalledIt was unfairly rejected? You can appeal. Send us additional evidence, clarify your prediction, or make your case. We're humans (mostly), and we can make mistakes. Just keep it civil.
